Confetii Privacy Policy

1What is stored on your device

The people you add (name, birthday, and optionally a phone number, the app you want to use to send your wishes and a custom message) and your settings are saved in the app's private storage on your device. The developer never receives this data.

Uninstalling the app deletes this local data. On Android, the operating system's own backup may include app data depending on your device settings; that backup is handled by Google, not by the developer.

If you export a copy of your list, the app creates a file that you share wherever you decide. It is not encrypted, so treat it as personal data.

2Optional cloud backup

Cloud backup is off unless you connect an account in Settings. On Android you can sign in with Google; on iOS with Google or Apple. Sign-in and cloud storage are provided by Google cloud services, which act as a service provider for the developer.

When connected, the app stores in the cloud a reference to the account you signed in with and the birthday list of that account, so you can use it on several devices. The data is protected by access rules that only allow your own account to read or change it. It is not end-to-end encrypted, so the developer could technically access it.

Signing out keeps the cloud copy so you can sign in again. Deleting your account from Settings closes the cloud list, deletes the older backup copies and removes the sign-in identity. Only a minimal record is kept to close the account safely. It contains no names, dates or phone numbers. When you signed in with Apple, the app also revokes its Apple authorization.

3Permissions the app asks for, and why

• Notifications and exact alarms: to show each birthday reminder at the time you choose.
• Contacts: only if you choose to import birthdays from your contacts. Only the entries you select are added to your list.
• Calendar: only if you choose to import birthdays from your calendars. Only the entries you select are added.
• Internet: used only for the optional cloud backup.

Each permission is requested when you use the feature that needs it. Refusing one does not affect the rest of the app.

4Sending your wishes

When you tap to send your wishes, Confetii opens WhatsApp, Telegram, your SMS app or the phone dialer with the number and message prepared. Nothing is sent automatically: you decide in that app whether to send it, and that app's own privacy policy applies.

5No ads, analytics or tracking

Confetii contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. It does not use your advertising identifier.

6Children

Confetii is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)

Your local list is under your control on your device. For the optional cloud backup you can export your list, change it, and delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. For any other request about your data, write to the address below.

8Changes to this policy

If a future version handles data differently, this page is updated before that version is released, together with the store privacy declarations.
