Two Winds

About the game

Two Winds is a puzzle game about flying a hot-air balloon on the wind. You move the balloon one square at a time and the air does the rest: step into a current and it carries you along, sometimes to the meadow and sometimes into a trap.

ADVENTURE: 120 LEVELS IN SIX VALLEYS

Bring each balloon down on its meadow in as few turns as you can. A few turns give three stars; take too long and the sun sets. Undo is free. New things arrive one at a time and then mix with the rest:

• A second balloon, then a third. Park one in a current to stop the other.
• Thermals lift a balloon two squares on.
• Weather vanes turn a quarter after every move.
• Flocks of birds fly back and forth across the way.
• Storm clouds chase your balloon every move and soak it for two extra turns.
• Lightning never takes you by surprise: the turn before it strikes, its cloud glows gold.
• A high wind blows above the low one: climb to fly over forests, drop to pass under kites.
• Eagles chase the nearest balloon and send it back to its pad. Meadows are safe.

A DAILY FLIGHT

One level for every day of the calendar, 366 in all, the same each year. It opens after the second valley.

WIND YOU CAN SEE

There are no arrows. You read the wind in the landscape: pale streaks over the grass, grass bent the way the air blows, petals riding the current, and cooler streams of cloud for the high wind.
